Описание к видео Neck Through! 1964 Gibson Firebird V (Reverse!)

Check out this killer example of an original 1964 Gibson Firebird V! This guitar has just come in from the family of its previous owner for at least the past 40+ years. It's a really great playing Firebird and has all the vibe and charm that a vintage guitar should have.

The Reverse body style of the Gibson Firebird model electric guitars is one of the company's coolest designs ever - but it wasn't designed by Gibson. It was designed by retired automobile designer Ray Deitrich who was befriended by Gibson president Ted McCarty. Deitrich retired to Kalamazoo, MI right down the street from the factory at 225 Parsons St.

So what does a Gibson Firebird sound like? The Firebird has its own style of pickups. They're similar to mini humbucking pickups in that each coil is a bit underwound compared to full size humbuckers, but they're different in that the Firebird pickups have a rail magnet in the coil instead of individually adjustable magnetic poles. It has a brighter tone than comparable full size humbuckers.

This vintage Gibson is original except for replaced binding on the treble side of the neck. It's a great playing example with straight neck and great frets. You can check out more of this guitar here: https://truevintageguitar.com/product....
