Darwelsi doesn't do any damage, but if he takes 2 steps, he spawns a killer robot that completely heals him and dishes out a ton of damage. The strategy here was to keep Darwelsi rooted as long as possible so the robot doesn't spawn at all. That way all 6 froobs can focus on Darwelsi. However, when rooted/snared, Darwelsi casts an immunity nano that dispels all roots. For paids, snare perks help to avoid this, since perks don't get dispelled. But for froobs, immunity usually meant an instant robot spawn at the start of the fight.

Since Darwelsi has a base runspeed of 250, we needed a froob 'perk' that debuffed at least -251 runspeed to prevent Darwelsi from moving. Flower of life easily surpasses this, but with its long cooldown (2.5min), short duration (10s), and high attack rating requirements to land (2100), this wasn't enough. The Cherry Blossom arrows strategy we used in floor 4 would be ineffective too, since they only go up to -200 runspeed, and had a 6 min cooldown to boot.

Instead, we resorted to using the bonehammer weapon from Cyborg Barracks to proc a debuff that reduces runspeed by 300. All toons twinked melee initiative to more than 1.2k to speed up attacks. At least 5 people at any point of time had a bonehammer equipped, resulting in a ~91% chance to reproc before the debuff faded. 1 person was always on damage duty to reduce the time needed to kill the boss. Whenever bone fragments faded, we filled in the gaps using Flower of life. As a final contingency, 2 people would stack -151 runspeed cherry blossom arrows if no one had flower of life left, but luckily this wasn't needed in this run. An MP tank and FP doctor was also on standby in case the robot spawned, but with some good coordination and RNG, this never happened at all.
