তাঁর পরিবার বা এলাকায় মাছ ধরা, বনের কাঠ, মধু সংগ্রহ করা ছেড়ে Business-কে জীবিকাধারণের হিসেবে বেছে নেওয়ার কথা কেউ ভাবতেও পারত না। খুব ছোটবেলা থেকেই চূড়ান্ত অর্থকষ্টে বড় হওয়া বরুণকে হাটে বাজারে গাছ থেকে পাড়া খেজুর, মায়ের তৈরি করা মুড়ির মোয়া বিক্রি করে সংসার চালাতে হত। এরপর অল্পকিছু টাকা দিয়ে একটা ছোট business শুরু করলেও রাজনৈতিক কারণে তাঁর দাদা খুন হন এবং business-এ আসতে থাকে নানারকম বাধা। Life-এর এই বাধার মুখে হার না মেনে আবার fight করে নিজের business শুরু করা বরুণের স্ত্রী মারা যান এরপর। এক বন্ধু তাঁকে নতুন শুরু করতে সাহায্য করলেও পরে ষড়যন্ত্র করেন বরুণের বিরুদ্ধে। এরপরও life-এর একের পর এক challenge-এর মুখে প্রতিবার স্বপ্ন চুরমার হয়ে গেলেও বরুণ হাল ছাড়েননি কখনও।

Born and brought up in a remote place of Sundarban, Barun Mondal’s family member or even relatives and neighbours couldn’t even think of opting for business as a profession. From the very childhood, Barun had to sell puffed rice and sweets made by his mother in village-side market. After that, Barun started a very small business with a small capital. However, death of his brother, passing away of his wife – life continued to challenge him and shatter every dream of Barun.
But, fighting with every life challenge, Barun, today, is the owner of four businesses. Today, at Josh Talks, we present the inspiring journey of Barun Mondal who fought against all the life challenges thrown at him.
