Taking it easy, running slower with a lower Heart Rate, using the Maffetone Method subtracting your age from 180 is a great way to become a more efficient and less injury prone runner. Dr. Phil Maffetone came up with the "MAF 180 Formula” that enables athletes to find the ideal maximum aerobic heart rate in which to base all aerobic training.
