Second and Third Order Models in SmartPLS (Higher Order Models)

Описание к видео Second and Third Order Models in SmartPLS (Higher Order Models)

You may think it gets complex to adopt a higher order model for a PhD thesis. In SmartPLS, higher order model may be easy to work with when you have the supporting theory and conceptual models. This video as a continuation of video #19 provides you with a deeper look into higher, second or third order models focusing on two main approaches.
1. The repeated indicator approach that requires duplicating indicators in first, second and third order constructs and removing from each of them any deleted/dropped indicator.
2. The two stages approach which is less preferred than the repeated indicator approach (Becker et al. 2012). In this approach, we get the latent variable scores in the first stage as a data set to be used in the second stage to find the relationships among the higher order and other constructs.
Besides, this video presents a sample 3rd order model in PLS where three layers of constructs and their indicators are presented.
