Controlling Seam Allowances and Facings

I have always loved sitting down to the machine and constructing a garment. Part my enjoyment comes from knowing that little decisions -- like pressing the seams open or to one side -- can make a big difference.

Similarly, I still get a thrill from making a facing, because doing all the little steps (which I explain), the facing folds into place practically on its own and is always well behaved.

These nuances of construction fascinate me because they affect how the garment looks and how it functions. It's also just fun to make a garment a garment that looks nice on the inside!
