How to Share Power with Grantees through Co-Creation

Collective giving is an important step toward democratizing philanthropy, and a vital next step toward equity is for donors and funders to share power with grantees. Using methods from the Human-Centered Design toolkit, GlobalGiving has developed a co-creation process that invites grantees to take the lead in answering process and policy questions like, “how might we help grantees understand and access the value of our community?” In this session, you’ll hear this true story of sharing power, with all its ups and downs, and you’ll walk away with tangible tools to help you embark on a co-creation journey with your grantees.
