In this video, I’ll show you some Italian words and also a couple of very famous expressions about Easter. Traditionally Italians celebrate Christmas at home with their families, but Easter is another story! Usually, you gather with friends, do activities outdoors or go traveling. And hence a very common saying that I cover in the video.

Let’s start with how we call some important events around Easter:

- QUARESIMA = Lent
- VENERDI’ SANTO = Good Friday
- PASQUA = Easter
- PASQUETTA = Monday Easter

These are instead the main symbols of this celebration:
- UOVO DI PASQUA = Easter Egg
- CONIGLIETTO PASQUALE = Easter Bunny
- AGNELLO = Lamb
- COLOMBA = Dove
- RAMO DI ULIVO = Olive Branch

Let’s finish up with three common expressions about Easter
1. BUONA PASQUA = Happy Easter
