Cry For A Shadow - The Beatles | Full Band Cover

“Cry For A Shadow” was recorded 1961 during the Hamburg era of the Beatles. It is the only instrumental of the band besides “Flying” from 1967 and also the only song credited to Lennon/Harrison. George came up with that great lead guitar part when he was just 18 (!!) years old.
The two composers of the song harmonise very well as guitarists here. John with his driving rhythm part combined with George’s impressive lead guitar is stunning.

And I’m gonna say something that is not said very often: Pete Best’s drumming is fantastic here!
He makes the Beatles sound like a surf band through his playing in this song, which is quite interesting to listen to. Paul’s bass and his screams (I had a blast recreating them, wasn’t my best job xD) are a nice touch too.
