The TL3 has quickly become a favorite variation in the popular Fairway Driver category. As the faster, mellower-flying version of the Teebird, the TL3 features a flatter top and a straighter-edged wing, perfect for creating long, gliding drives, forehand or backhand. You may have heard of the TL3, but do you know what TL3 stands for?

The “T” in TL3 stands for Teebird. The Teebird has been the Gold Standard of Fairway Drivers and the platform that the TL3 is built on.

The “L” stands for “long” or “less overstable”. The mellow-edged “L” wing configuration creates a longer, straighter flight with less fade. {Show the smooth underside of the wing}

The “3” part of the TL3 signifies a flatter top with more mass in the rim. This “more ballistic” version of the TL makes the [8|4|-1|1] TL3 a little faster as the speed rating bumps up to an [8] while reducing the glide to a [4]. The balanced [-1] turn and [+1] fade keep the TL3 easy to aim and easy to throw. Quicker out-of-the-hand but with a touch less glide, some people feel the 3-series gives them more control over where the disc finishes.
