André (Lázaro Ramos) leads a monotonous life in a modest neighborhood of Porto Alegre, working as a photocopy machine operator. His world turns upside down when he falls for his neighbor, Sílvia (Leandra Leal), desperately needing thirty-eight reais to impress her. André enlists his friend Cardoso (Pedro Cardoso) and coworker Marinês (Luana Piovani) on a series of wild plans to get the money. Surprisingly, they all work out. And that's where his problems begin.

"The Man Who Copied" is a unique comedy, ingeniously mixing elements of crime, romance, and creative animations that bring to life André's inventive mind as he chases his dreams.
