I might be biased but I don't think modern or future era games should have a single-action pistol in them. I get that they wanted to make the M44 the "sniper" side arm but what is the point if it still has a range limit for one shotting to the head? That slow RPM and awkward animation that isn't fluid just looks bad visually, making players sit through it and watch it repeatedly just seems kind of cruel. You don't have to put it in the game if you can't find an appropriate place to balance it. Sure the .44 Magnum in BF4 also had a limit on the range to one shot to the head but it also fired much faster and had a much faster ADS times on the scopes.

Let me know if you want me to continue with this sidearm, I'm pretty meh about it so I'll probably switch back to something else unless there is overwhelming support for it.

Also no idea why it has Armor Piercing rounds when it takes too long to load them to be useful in a situation that would require them like finishing off a vehicle.

I will try to edit, upload or delete anything I have with pre-rework Hourglass footage as soon as I can. Oh and on the subject no I'm not a fan of the Hourglass rework, like all of the reworks for the maps in BF2042 they were done to make them better suited for Breakthrough than the original designed maps were since the original maps were designed to make 128 player Conquest work well with the idea of spaced out clustered fights. If DICE really thinks the playerbase wants to go back to Breakthrough/Rush game modes as real core game modes they should go back to designing both the game and maps for them like they did previously in BC1, BC2, and BF3. DICE stopping making maps for Rush and other game modes with BF4, which oddly the "community" sees as the greatest Battlefield game so either certain people are trying to change things now because they don't want to play against vehicles or don't want to play Conquest or I guess people have short term memories because there was plenty of distance and "lack of cover" between objectives in a lot of the maps in previous Battlefield game.
