The Hammarlund HQ 100A was one of many popular receivers produced by the Hammarlund Company, founded in 1910 by Oscar Hammarlund. The HQ 100A was introduced in 1962. It uses 10 tubes. It has a 24-hour analog clock that can be used to power up the radio at a pre-set time. The June, 2014 issue of QST Magazine has an excellent article about this receiver on page 95..
