We Test Three Malts for Color and Flavor

Описание к видео We Test Three Malts for Color and Flavor

Color is a very important descriptor for malts; the color of a malt is measured and listed in degrees Lovibond. Generally speaking, there is an association between color and flavor. Lighter colored malts often have bready, grainy, or honey like flavors, whereas darker malts tend to have rich, roasted, or even burnt flavors. To help you better understand how degrees Lovibond relates to color, flavor and aroma, we performed a Hot Steep Malt Sensory Evaluation for three malts. #homebrewing #malt #brewing
