Full Route Visual | London Bus Route 250 - West Croydon Bus Stn to Brixton Station | (T130) LJ10HVL

A couple of weeks ago, I posted on my community page about me trying out some Croydon routes as I had planned on finally travelling down there to spend the evening doing some bus visuals there before the summer holiday ended. I was looking at routes that I could do and I decided to do this route, which I partially do and don't regret.

Before I begin to explain why tho, let me actually talk about the route itself first:
The 250 is operated by Arriva London South from Thornton Heath [TH] Garage using Enviro 400 Trident's & Wright Electroliner EV's as it's new allocation as of September 2024, but I filmed this in August 2024. The route is a mad one that goes from West Croydon, Thornton Heath, Norbury, Streatham, Streatham Hill & Brixton.

The route was not an easy one to film as first and foremost, there was this mad woman on the road trying to block everything and walk toward vehicles for no reason whatsoever, Idk why people didn't pull her off the road. Then as we were driving off from her, she tried to cling onto the bus I was on (T130). Imo, this was inconsiderate of her as what if people were rushing somewhere? This was my first time filming in Croydon in 5 years and now this happens. (After I upload the other routes I filmed), I don't think I'd want to return here for a while to do route visuals as people were also running onto zebra crossings and almost involving themselves into collisions...

The journey was also quite slow as we faced traffic from Thornton Heath and slow speed limits along the A23 Streatham High Road. The 20MPH zone that is stretched puts a strain and stress onto bus drivers which is not needed. That section should be at least 30MPH, if not 40! Sadiq Khan do better! The route is practically useless as it basically follows the 109. The route used to run up until Croydon Town Centre 24 hours a day, but then the route was renumbered into N250, and the daytime 250 route was withdrawn between West Croydon to Croydon Town Centre in November 2019. I did have a nice driver because he waved as I was filming the bus as it moved off.
