Honda CB1100 Long Term Owner's Review

I have over 11,000 miles on my CB1100 so I thought it would be appropriate to talk about it a little bit. Happy to answer any questions in the comments!

Update: 8 months later. Odometer: 22,000, no problems yet! I did notice some oil seepage near one corner of the valve cover gasket but I need to check those valves soon anyway which will require a new gasket. Also, I needed to clean the front sprocket which is a little bit of a pain but I noticed gunk dripping down and realized it had accumulated about 20k miles of road grime- it was very satisfying to clean up.

Update: I crashed it with around 40k miles on the bike, then got a CB1100EX. The bike was awesomely reliable the whole time with just basic maintenance, so I still very much recommend it. I did a chain and sprocket replacement at 26k, brakes and tires every 10-12k or so, and oil every 4k. The '17 doubled most of the service intervals, but I think I'll keep doing oil at 5,000 miles I think. Feel free to ask any questions, I'll do my best to respond.
