Volvo XC60 D5 DIY Service

Описание к видео Volvo XC60 D5 DIY Service

In this video, I service my 2009 (09 plate) Volvo XC60 D5. As we all know, a service can be expensive, so if you're able to do it yourself, you'll save money. The only trade off with this is that the service book doesn't get stamped by a VAT registered garage. This can have an effect on resale value if you're that way inclined, but I intend to keep this until the wheels fall off, so it doesn't bother me one bit.

All parts used in this video are available from Euro Car Parts, which I usually use because of their tendency to offer discount codes at weekends and public holidays. I actually sourced the engine oil from a local motor factor because I wanted that specific oil. The oil I chose is from a brand that I've used many times (I usually use either Comma or Petronas) and chose 5w30 rather than the suggested 0w30 because the temperature range of both oils cover the climate where I live and made no difference in protection. This 5w30 oil was however the cheaper of the two grades, so as it made no difference, I went with that one.

The air filter has been in the car for around 20 (ish) thousand miles and wasn't as dirty as I thought it was. The cleaning kit was a bargain too, I expected to have to use the whole kit on one clean. Turns out that I think i'd be able to get 3-4 services out of one kit. I bought the kit on ebay using this link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-N-Air-Fi...
