Tools and parts required:

1 - T30 Torx or 12mm socket for the sump gaurd
2 - 36mm socket for oil filter housing - 17mm socket for sump drain plug
4 -Torque wrench
5 - Container large enough to hold all the old oil
6 - New oil filter
7 - 5.9 litres of oil (Check the recomendation for your model - engine - country)8 - Oil drain plug washer
9 - Means to raise the vehicle safely to allow access. ie Ramps - Jack - Axle stands

Procedure:

1. Run the engine until at normal operating temperature.

2. Raise the front of the car. Be sure that it is secure.

3. Remove the engine under tray (T30 torx drive). These may be different on some vehicles.

4. Position a container under the engine alligned with the oil drain plug.

5. Remove the oil drain plug (17mm socket) and drain the engine oil (the oil will be HOT)

6. While oil is draining, use a 36mm socket and remove the oil filter housing.

7. Remove the old oil filter, clean the housing and replace the o-ring.Lubricating the new O-ring with oil. Fit the new filter and reinstall the housing (Tighten to 25nm).

8. Reinstall the oil drain (with a new one if supplied) and tighten it to 35 Nm. Always use a new sealing washer.

9. Fill the engine with the new oil specified for your vehicle. (The oil for this particular vehicle is: SAE OW-20 Fully synthetic and the make of oil is Mannol Legend Ultra) (Please see the above links to purchase this oil and service kit) Check the level on the dipstick or electronic display and top up to the required level.

10. Start the engine and check for oil leaks around the oil filter housing and the oil drain plug. When on level ground re-check the oil level and top up if needed, but do not overfill.

11. Reinstall the under tray.
