Phoenix Light Rail & Streetcar compilation

Описание к видео Phoenix Light Rail & Streetcar compilation

The Valley Metro light rail and streetcar are situated in Phoenix and Tempe in the USA. They combine to make a tram system of 50 kilometers. There are 3 types of trains on both lines. The light rail line uses purple and grey livery Siemens S700 trains and Kinki Sharyo LFLRVs. The streetcar line uses green and grey livery Brookville Liberty Streetcars. The light rail line opened in 2008 as a 32 kilometer line all new light rail line. The Streetcar line opened in May of 2022 and was free to ride for the first year in operation. The streetcar is interesting because it runs on battery power in certain parts of the line and is also single tracked at some points. The price per person to ride the light rail is 2.00 and for the Streetcar will be 1.00 after the 1 year period. The Valley Metro rail system is a good light rail system which is cheap and relatively fast. If it's convenient I would definitely recommend it. Enjoy the video :)
