Описание к видео Lecture On Connective Tissues: An Introduction | Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital | MBBS

Fibers: Fibers are long, thin strands of protein that provide strength and support to connective tissues. There are three types of fibers: collagen fibers, reticular fibers, and elastic fibers.
Cells: Cells are the basic unit of life. There are two types of cells found in connective tissues: intrinsic component cells and migrant or related cells.
Intercellular ground substance: Intercellular ground substance is a gel-like material that fills the space between the cells and fibers in connective tissues.
Classification of Connective Tissues

Connective tissues can be classified based on their structure and function. There are four main types of connective tissues:

Loose connective tissue: Loose connective tissue is a type of connective tissue that is loosely packed with fibers and cells. It is found in many parts of the body, including the subcutaneous layer, the dermis, and the lining of the respiratory tract.
Dense connective tissue: Dense connective tissue is a type of connective tissue that is tightly packed with fibers. It is found in tendons, ligaments, and the dermis.
Cartilage: Cartilage is a type of connective tissue that is made up of chondrocytes and a matrix of collagen and elastin fibers. It is found in the joints, the nose, and the ears.
Bone: Bone is a type of connective tissue that is made up of osteocytes and a matrix of collagen and calcium phosphate. It is found in the skeleton.
Functions of Connective Tissues

Connective tissues have a variety of functions, including:

Providing support and structure for the body
Protecting the body's organs and tissues
Storing energy
Transporting nutrients and waste products
Providing cushioning and insulation
Conclusion

Connective tissues are an essential part of the human body. They provide a variety of functions that are essential for life. In this video, we have learned about the different components of connective tissues, their classification, and their functions.
