I can’t believe I actually beat it, after a grand total of 33 hours and 6 5am deaths.

Important notes if you're crazy enough to do this:
-Bear stands up for 16 seconds after an average of 18 seconds of sitting down, you have about 10 seconds to start flashing him 9 times
-Chuck will show up 20-25 seconds after he last left the gate and has a kill timer of about 10 seconds, and the gate takes 4 seconds to close fully
-Modern's kill timer is about 6 seconds without closing the gate, when the gate starts closing his timer speeds up, without costume at the gate, he'll leave if it's closing/closed and his timer hits 0
-Munch has a kill timer of about 8 seconds and can only leave on times that are a multiple of 4 after a minimum of 12 seconds
-Jasper has a window of about 5 seconds to use the stage call on him
-Helen's kill timer doesn't start until you turn back around after looking at the gate when she's there
-De-sync Helen and Jasper so you have more time for Dolli

I’ve been playing this on and off since August 2021. I first started it shortly after beating Treasure Island’s true nightmare which at the time was my hardest max mode, a friend had recommended I try this game if I like harder things, so I did and I thought it was good, and I had plans to beat true nightmare on it too. They all warned me it was insanely hard, but I just took that as a challenge, I mean I beat all the other custom night challenges relatively quickly so I didn’t think it could be that bad, like the longest one took me was around an hour and a half. So, I tried it and made it to 2am after a few hours, and I thought it wouldn’t take me more than a couple days… then I tried the next couple days and I wasn’t doing much better so for the time being I stopped playing it. Then Security Breach rolls around, and I only wanted to play that (I genuinely thought it was fun, albeit very flawed). After a bit, the legend Frogger went and did the, at the time, impossible and beat pre patch true nightmare, and along with it made a very detailed guide on how to beat it in general. This helped immensely and when I finally returned, I relatively quickly made it to 3am, and soon I was consistently making it to 3am and got a best time of 3:30. But that’s where progress halted, since I was using the somewhat inaccurate bear times from Frogger’s video, and it looked like I was getting consistently unlucky with bear’s offset RNG. I kept trying and trying and trying bringing the total play time to 18 hours and it was getting incredibly frustrating so I stop playing it again. After a while, the max mode list was released to the public with this thing sitting in the top 20 or 30 while Treasure Island sat between 90-100, this helped motivate me a little but not enough to actively play it again, instead I focused on other max modes and getting a new hardest with Sr’s night. Eventually 2023 comes and I’m nowhere closer to beating it than I was about a year ago, and after trying a few more times I got fed up with bear and do some tests where I made 2 very important discoveries, bear doesn’t stand up after 20 seconds like in Frogger’s guide video, he stands up on average every 18 seconds, and he kills you when you go to flash him after he’s stood up for ~10 seconds without being flashed yet, suddenly all my deaths at 0:27/0:28 made complete sense. With this I try playing some more but still can’t pass 3:30 and have now hit 22 hours, so once again I stopped playing. Sometime later I’m talking a bit in the max mode list server, and someone mentions that stalling Chuck E Cheese is bad since it leads to problems with Mr. Munch leaving right before he shows up, and I realized to deal with that I needed Chuck’s intervals too. They were easy to memorize since he shows up 20-25 seconds after he last left the gate, and predicting when he’d appear helped a little bit but not a lot. But suddenly after a few more hours of playing I finally had a new best of 4:40, and right after keeping costume in channel 4 until 3am, this mode finally seemed doable and like I was finally coming close to beating it. However later attempts proved my strategy was still incomplete, which was when I began stalling modern Chuck E Cheese’s timer too, when his audio cue appeared I would watch costume for another 3-4 seconds before going and closing the gate about a quarter of the way. And it worked a bit, because I finally made it to 5am after about 28 hours and I was starting to get more and more 4am runs, in fact I got 5am a couple of times. But the strategy was missing one more piece, so I decided to try stalling Jasper’s timer too, when he appeared I would watch costume for another 2-3 seconds before dealing with him. With this I made it to 5:40, the end was finally in sight, and after a few more hours and a couple more 5am deaths, it was finally done. I beat it, I beat the rat, and I was so happy. The almost 2 year journey was finally over.
