Drayton Farley plays the worn out man’s anthem, “Pitchin’ Fits.”

It was a cloudy and brutally windy day when we met up with Drayton in the woods outside of Denver for an early fall shoot. We were hoping to match the vibe of this song with a more blue collar looking background. But the shelter in the streams from the stormy weather seemed to fit without fault.

Drayton had been touring his new songs around off of the success of his 2021 record, “A Hard up Life.” The two most popular songs on there are “American Dream” & “Pitchin’ Fits.” We would argue that anyone who listens to these two songs, will immediately identify with the details. The proof to this claim, is in the audience. When you watch videos online of people in the crowd singing his songs, those two are obviously the most loved. And what a credit to Drayton for that.

“Pitchin' Fits” has become something of an anthem for folks who are working their asses off and trying to get by. Like so much of what Drayton Farley writes, it connects with all of us who struggle with anxiety, being worn out, have questioned ourselves, and have done whatever we can to provide for our families. This is why we continue to work with this fella.
