The memories about Maggie - A sad story

It was 150 years ago. Peace came after the American Civil War. In Hamilton Village, a young teacher from Canada was teaching English in high school.

George Johnson falls in love with his disciple Margaret Clarke. Loved sitting side by side on a hillside lawn overlooking Lake Ontario.And she graduated, the couple get married.

After that, George Johnson lived a happy life as a teacher in Cleveland, Ohio.However, Margaret the bride suffers from pulmonary tuberculosis, giving birth to a baby boy, and died after a year of marriage.

Johnson was so sad that he lost his wife. To bury her body in the hills of Margaret's home, she loaded a coffin containing her body in a freight train and boarded a train with a young child. Her hometown is going to Hamilton.

However, the baby in my arms keeps crying out loud. Sorry for the other passengers. I tried to soothe the child but it didn't stop crying. Johnson woke up with a child. I apologized to the passengers.

“This child is crying for her mother. This child's mother is in the coffin, which is in the back freight train. The child may not know that his mother is dead. Please bear with all of you.”

“I am going to Hamilton with my wife's coffin to bury my wife in her home hill. I am very sorry, everyone ”

Johnson has published a poem called [Maple Leaves]. In the book, he wrote a poem that recalls his beloved wife. Johnson asked his friend James Butter Wheeld to add a song, The song that is made is [The memories about Maggie]
