Daemon doesn’t understand—until he shows it with his hands. He seizes her throat and snarls, “Dreams didn’t make us kings—dragons did.” Rhaenyra steadies, a sad smile: He never told you, did he? The truth lands: Viserys never intended Daemon to carry that fire. Daemon releases her and walks away, smaller for what he didn’t know.
