Day 3 of solo hiking the Coast to Coast, I set off from Ennerdale YHA and make my way through Ennerdale Forest & reach the famous Black Sail Hut.

After that, I make the steep ascent up towards Haystacks before descending into the Honister Slate Mine where I stop for coffee & cake.

I meet up with a few other hikers when hiking into Borrowdale, we get a pint together and go to our respective accommodations, some staying at Borrowdale YHA, and others camping. I camped at the Chapel House Farm campsite where I watched the sun set on a perfect evening after a long days hiking, only to be rudely awakened by something disturbing in the early hours of the morning.
