Brown avocado leaves?

Who doesn't love a homegrown avocado?

But growing these trees can be a little tricky and take a lot of patience. If the tips of your leaves are looking like this, it could be salt burn.

That happens because the water has too much salt content in it.

The best thing you can do is give your tree as much rainwater as possible. That's going to be the best quality, plus it's free!

If that's not an option, you can leech the salt out by irrigating deeply. That will push the salt down beyond the roots.
