1970 Chevelle SS 454 4 Speed Convertible gets a Tremec 5 Speed Upgrade! Part 1

Off season doesn't exist for us hot rod folks, so let's back to the classic American Muscle stuff shall we? Today we have a viewer's car, specifically a gorgeous 1970 Chevy Chevelle Convertible with a big block under the hood and a 4 speed manual transmission and it's here to get an extra gear installed. Specifically, we're doing a VERY popular upgrade and upgrading this already great car with a Tremec TKX 5 speed transmission which will make this car MUCH more fun and cruisable on modern roads at modern speeds!

Fortunately for us this isn't a terribly difficult process, and even better we're working on a GREAT example of a a GM A Body from this era with no stuck broken or rusty bolts. The Tremec 5 speed upgrade is THE Go-To for high end quality transmission swaps on just about anything whether it's a factory stick shift OR factory automatic car. Let's dive in!
