The NKJV Chronological Study Bible

A review of the NKJV Chronological Study Bible (ISBN: 9780785239550) in black Leathersoft.

This New King James Version (NKJV) Bible presents the 66-book Protestant canon of Scripture rearranged in chronological order, organized into nine epochs.

Text is printed in a dark, 9.5 point Comfort Print font, arranged in paragraph style in two columns. The words of Christ are in black ink. Text and translation notes are present (though the set is smaller than the one you'll find in some NKJV editions), and Old Testament sources for New Testament quotations are listed. Because this is not a reference Bible, the text is relatively uncluttered.

The NKJV Chronological Study Bible features epoch introductions, background notes, daily life notes, time panels, timelines, and numerous illustrations. In the back you'll find a topical index to the notes, a glossary, and a very useful Scripture Passage Index, which will permit you quickly to locate any particular passage of interest.

The paper is approximately 38 gsm in weight. It is light cream in color and somewhat glossy.

Pages edges are gilded. Head and tail bands are in red, as is the single 10 mm wide double-sided satin ribbon marker.

The volume lies open and very nearly flat in Genesis. The text block is sewn. There are seven lined pages for notetaking in the back, along with seven glossy color maps.
