How to Build an RC Trainer for the Absolute Beginner!

This video will show how an absolute newcomer to radio control model airplanes can build an RC model on their own of a gentle trainer aircraft, and successfully fly this model. Subject will be the www.StevensAero.com QuickOats 25 RC trainer airplane.

Important note: This model is basically perfect. However, one item that MUST be changed is the included rubber bands for the wing hold down. These rubber bands are way too small, purchase some lager rubber bands (I used Amazon for this) to keep the wing in place.

There are three aspects to this approach. First, view this video. Second, the excellent engineering and laser cutting of the QuickOats kit. And finally, the incredible photo illustrated building guide for the QuickOats beginner RC airplane.

In the video on how to make a trainer RC airplane step by step, I will go though the Stevens Aero website, where you order the kit. Also, a discussion of recommended supplies. Next will be a kit unbox, an overview of the RC electronics needed to complete the kit, followed by the build itself.

I used a lightweight iron on covering and go over some of these procedures.

Finally, out to the flying field and a view of the first two flights that went exceptionally well.

In summary, anyone can have success building this simple RC model airplane trainer for beginners. Total weight with two cell lipo is 6.5 ounces. Do give it a try!
