Triple Neo Speed - Time Lapse Build

Описание к видео Triple Neo Speed - Time Lapse Build

In this video I will show you a time lapse build of the Aeronaut Triple Neo Speed. The fuselage consists of a GRP part combined with a carbon fiber tube. The wings are build as a classic balsa rib construction. The quality of the kit is very good with a fine selection of balsa sheets and a high accuracy of the laser cut parts. As usual for this kind of kits you have some room for own modifications. For example I replaced the original pulltruded carbon tube with a roll wrapped carbon tube to get more torsional strength. The trailing edges of the wings were reinforced with a carbon roving. To have a more carefree handling of the wings during attaching and removing I added 44g glass fiber to the inside of the skin in the area of the inner two rib fields. I strongly recommend to close the brass tube for the torsion rod as shown in the video. This prevents the torsion rod from sliding to one side which in the worst case could pull the rod completely out of the other wing. During flight this would definitely be a catastrophic failure.
All in all I really enjoyed the build and can recommend it for anyone who has some basic experience in balsa building. The good build instructions leave almost no room for mistakes.
