Create DRAMATIC Landscape Images - Adding Drama & Mood in Photoshop

In this video, Matt Meisenheimer covers techniques on how to create drama and mood in landscape images. He takes a relatively bland image and transforms it using Adobe Photoshop.

The keys to creating dramatic images are light, color, and depth. Use those three things to your advantage - the eye naturally goes from an area of light to dark, an area of cool to warm, and an area of high detail to low detail. Matt uses those three principles to create a dramatic look and feel.

Of course, dramatic images are most easily created when, well, when the conditions are dramatic! Best case scenario - you capture the drama in the field with the conditions and your composition. With that being said, these techniques work for all types of images and conditions.
