This teach-in explores Brown University's historic relationship with slavery and the trans-Atlantic slave trade with reference to its broader historical context, and re-introduces and critically evaluates the Slavery and Justice Report as an important attempt to grapple with the university's complicity and questions of retrospective justice. Further, it discusses the mission, future, and possibilities of the Center as one significant product of the Report.
