My friends and I took a weekend trip over to Wales so that we could visit Skomer Island.
We planned our visit to be at the beginning of July as this is when the Puffins are on the island, raising their chicks. This little island off the west coast of Wales had puffins everywhere. It was amazing. We had hoped that we would get close to them but our experience completely exceeded our expectations. At times we were surrounded by puffins, with some walking right between us along the track.

I highly recommend a trip to Skomer Island in breeding season for any animal lovers out there. Make sure to take your camera.
