In the Heart of Shambhala Ep.2: Tibetan incense-making

Tibetan incense-making goes back to ancient times – at least 1,000 years ago. It is part of Tibetan medicine. Parkyid, a craftsman from Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, has been studying medicine and incense-making for 18 years. To preserve the original fragrance and medicinal effect, Parkyid and his teacher Lobsang Tenzin have persisted with a water grinding method to make incense. Also, to acquire the best herbal medicine as raw materials, Parkyid makes several trips to the mountain every season regardless of the weather.
