HeadlessChicken PhotoShoot: Salsa on St Clair 2024

This is the 20th annual Salsa on St Clair festival, and we haven't attended in many years. Little known fact, I lived in the area before starting my own family. So for a number of years, attending the festivities of the Salsa on St Clair was a bit of a tradition for us.

Going there, we parked on my old street near where I lived for over 25 years. Walked down to St Clair West and wandered through festival grounds. We stopped into my old karate school for a look around, my old sensi wasn't there today though. But I did get to show off my old karate school to my kids. We got to see their karate demo on the end stage near the McDonald's. We ate lunch at the Ferro Bar Cafe. Mom ordered the grilled octopus, Char-grilled Morrocan octopus served with a bomba sauce + kale, crispy potato & sweet pepper hash. I had the Ferro Classic Panini, Spicy soppressata + salami + provolone + muffaletta + romaine + sliced tomato + basil vinaigrette & deli mayo + artisinal baguette with a side salad. The 2 kiddies had the pepperoni pizza, done in a wood fire oven. While eating, we missed the Fiesta Parade. But we caught up with the end of the parade with the last 2; Viva Mexico and Sentir Venezuela.

We went down early, just as everyone was opening up. So it wasn't crowded. But we also didn't stay long after lunch.
