沈园位于浙江省绍兴市越城区，原为南宋时期沈姓富商的私家花园。沈园的布局基本上是江南园林传统的自然式布局，以水为景观主体，建筑群采用规则的中轴对称构架。沈园主要由北苑和东苑，以及南苑三部分组成。南苑由沈园之夜演艺剧场和陆游纪念馆组成。
北苑为主体苑区。北苑的葫芦池、土山、水井为宋代沈园的原物。基于1985年的考古发现，在北苑内修复了孤鹤轩、六朝井亭、八咏楼，以及明池、冷翠亭等古建筑。在主体建筑孤鹤轩的南面，是著名的“钗头凤碑”，记述了南宋著名诗人陆游与前妻唐琬邂逅于沈园，陆游回忆往事，感慨怅然，题写《钗头凤》词，极言“离索”之痛，随后唐琬题词而和之，情意凄绝。《钗头凤》由此成为千古绝唱。东苑，又名情侣园。全园景象更显江南园林特色，绮丽而不失端庄，含蓄而更添情韵。

Shen`s Garden is located in Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It was originally a private garden of a wealthy businessman surnamed Shen during the South Song Dynasty. The layout of Shen`s Garden is basically the traditional natural style layout of Jiangnan gardens, with water as the main landscape, and the architectural complex adopts a regular axisymmetric structure. The garden is mainly composed of three parts: North Garden, East Garden, and South Garden. South Garden is mainly composed of the Shen`s Garden Night Performing Arts Theater and the Lu You Memorial Hall.
North Garden is the main garden area. The gourd pond, earth hill, and water well in North Garden are the original relics of Shen`s Garden in the Song Dynasty. Based on archaeological discoveries in 1985, ancient buildings such as Guhe Pavilion, Well Pavilion, Bayong Tower, as well as Ming Pond and Lengcui Pavilion were restored in North Garden. To the south of the main building, Guhe Pavilion, is the famous "'Hairpin Phoenix Stele", which tells the story of the famous Southern Song poet Lu You and his ex-wife Tang Wan meeting in the Garden. Lu You recalls the past, feels sad, and writes the poem "Chai Tou Feng", which expresses the pain of "separation". Later, Tang Wan wrote an inscription and replied with him, and showed her desolate. The 'Hairpin Phoenix' thus became an immortal poem of affection. East Garden, also known as Couple Garden. The overall scenery of the garden highlights the characteristics of Jiangnan gardens, beautiful yet dignified, subtle yet adding charm.
