The Ring Alarm Retrofit Kit installation is actually very straightforward. The first thing you need to do is to identify which existing sensor around the house is connected to which wire in your current alarm panel.
Once you identified the sensors and wires, you are ready to move them to the Ring Retrofit panel.
It is important to note that the Ring Alarm Retrofit Kit is really optimized to work with door and window sensors that require only 2 wires to work properly. The retrofit kit is not ment to work with motion detectors, since these sensors require 2 additional wires to supply power. There is a workaround this issue, but then you will only be able to use the Ring Alarm in Away mode.
