'India's global interest growing, its footprint expanding,' says Jaishankar in Rajya Sabha

On the first day of the Parliament's winter session Wednesday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said, "Foreign policy today is no longer just an exercise of a ministry or even simply that of the government, it has a direct impact on daily lives of all Indians." He also said the government strives for the welfare of all people, however challenging a situation. "Indian foreign policy is to serve the Indian people. We will do whatever it takes to discharge that responsibility," he added.
