In this video, I demonstrate one of the most essential drills for rowing: body over pause. It is essential to achieve a forward body angle early in the stroke. When you pause at the body-over position, your shoulders should be in front of your hips. Once you have established this position, your body angle is set to the catch. The next drill in the video is an alternating stroke drill where one stroke is an arms and body stroke followed by a full-length stroke. This two-stroke cycle is repeated to reinforce the idea of setting the body angle early and transferring that movement into your full stroke.
