Tuensang: CPST celebrates golden jubilee

Chongpho Pamang Saoshuong Thangjam (CPST) Tuensang village celebrated its golden jubilee at Sikhokkhün, Tuensang village on December 8 and 9. It was attended by all the womenfolk of Chongpho Khel residing in and outside the khel.

B Naong, former President, Changsao Thangjam Seshang (CTS) was the special guest. The main speakers were, Rev T Mongba, Pastor, Tuensang Sang Baptist Lashong (TSBL), N Naong, Associate Pastor Women, TSBL and Y Akhala, President, CTS.

H Ayng, first Secretary, CPST, N Ajong, President, ChongphoPamang Citizen Union, T Asang, President, CPST, Advocate W Antimangyang, Advisor CTS, Y Chenyang, Convenor, Jubilee Planning Committee and Sangkum Head GB, C/Khel, Advisor CPST also delivered speeches.

Jubilee monolith was also dedicated by N Naong, Associate Pastor Women, CPST and cultural event was also held. Besides others, a display of change in women’s life from the past and present was also displayed. Jubilee choir led all the hymns during the services, meanwhile special numbers were also presented by Kangshou Pamng Saoshuong, Chongpho Youths and Youth Board, TSBL.

The opening and closing ceremony of the jubilee was led by Tuensang Village Bagpipe Band.
