Avoid These Mistakes while staying at the Sue Meg Cabins | Trinidad, California

My wife and I stayed at one of the Sue Meg State Park Cabins in the summer of 2022. We were on a California Coastline Roadtrip to see many National Parks including the Redwoods. We heard good things about Sue Meg and it was a great option since we were flying and didn’t have all our camping gear nor did we want to pay hundreds of dollars a night at a hotel.

We loved the cozy cabin feel and has a lot of really nice features. It has great space and can accommodate up to 8 people. The reason that my wife and I wanted to do a review is that we didn’t see anywhere on the site to book this that we needed to bring our own mattress and bedding. It was a very uncomfortable first night on the wood beds. So we bought an air mattress but the queen was too big. The sizes you’ll need to plan for is 2 Full beds on bottom and 2 Twins on top. The trailhead to the hiking trail for Agate Beach was a short walk away with lovely views of the ocean. There are a lot of colorful rocks…maybe you’ll get lucky and find an Agate. We saw dozens of banana slugs on the bushes while hiking. I hope this review helps.
