Inmitten eines Kurortes liegt ein ehemaliges luxuriöses 5-Sterne-Hotel, dessen Geschichte eng verknüpft ist mit der des Ortes. Was lange Zeit ein kleines Dörfchen war, entwickelte sich mit der Entdeckung heilenden Quellwassers zu einem renommierten europäischen Kurort ersten Ranges.

Das mittlere und gehobene Bürgertum nächtigte in den prestigeträchtigen Grand Hotels, wovon wir HEUTE eines besuchen wollen: das Paragon Hotel – auch bekannt als Grand Hotel et de Milan.

Eröffnet wurde das Bauwerk Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts und es war 100 Jahre lang das prestigeträchtigste Hotel der Gegend. 110 Zimmer und Luxussuiten, Wellnesseinrichtungen, zahlreiche Restaurants und Barbereiche ließen keine Wünsche offen.

Heute ist eines der ehemals schönsten Hotels Italiens dem Vandalismus ausgesetzt, die Korridore sind mit Graffiti verschmiert, die übriggebliebenen Einrichtungsgegenstände zertrümmert. Aber der einzigartige Speisesaal mit seinem genialen Baldachin weiß noch immer zu verzaubern und macht unseren Besuch allein schon deshalb absolut lohnenswert …

In the middle of a spa resort lies a former luxurious 5-star hotel whose history is closely linked to that of the resort. What had been a small village for a long time developed into a renowned European health resort with the discovery of healing spring water.

The middle and upper bourgeoisie spent the night in the prestigious Grand Hotels, of which we want to visit one TODAY: the Paragon Hotel - also known as Grand Hotel et de Milan.

The building was opened at the end of the 19th century and for 100 years it was the most prestigious hotel in the area. 110 rooms and luxury suites, wellness facilities, numerous restaurants and bar areas left nothing to be desired.

Today one of the most beautiful hotels in Italy is exposed to vandalism, the corridors are smeared with graffiti, the leftover furnishings smashed. But the unique dining room with its ingenious canopy still enchants and makes our visit absolutely worthwhile for that very reason ...
