ACHTUNG EINSTURZGEFAHR - eine GEWALTIGE Burganlage VOLLER PERSÖNLICHER ERINNERUNGEN 🔎 Lost Place

Es ist der letzte Tag unserer einwöchigen Italien-Reise 2018.

In einem kleinen Dorf trotzt ein mittelalterliches Bauwerk seit vielen Jahrzehnten dem Untergang, aber seine Zeit scheint bald abgelaufen zu sein. Das Grundstück, auf dem das Gebäude sich befindet, war ursprünglich ein Geschenk an die Mönche einer nahegelegenen Abtei, ging aber bald in den Besitz einer der mächtigsten und berühmtesten Adelsfamilien Italiens über – den Gonzagas. Diese errichteten darauf im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert eine befestigte Wohnanlage, die eher einer Burg als einem Palast glich.

Die weitere Geschichte der Anlage ist eine sehr bewegte: Erbstreitigkeiten, Umbaumaßnahmen, wirtschaftliche Schwierigkeiten, Enteignungen, tragische Todesfälle und sogar das Ende einer ganzen Dynastie. Ganze Bücher lassen sich damit füllen, aber an dieser Stelle lediglich noch ein paar Worte zu den letzten Bewohnern:

Ein Ingenieur und gleichzeitig auch Künstler, der zusammen mit seiner Frau und ihren Kindern dem Gebäudekomplex noch einmal Leben einhauchte. Die hochbetagte Hausherrin lebte bis ins Jahr 2005 in dem Gebäude. Ihr Name war Ines, sie wurde 108 Jahre alt. Das Castello dell’artista – die Burg des Künstlers – ist seit mehr als 10 Jahren verlassen und wird regelmäßig von Plünderern heimgesucht, aber dennoch ergibt sich noch immer ein spannendes Bild seiner letzten Bewohner.

It is the last day of our one-week trip to Italy in 2018.

In a small village, a medieval structure has defied destruction for many decades, but its time seems to have run its course. The property on which the building is located was originally a gift to the monks of a nearby abbey, but soon became the property of one of the most powerful and famous noble families in Italy - the Gonzagas. In the 14th and 15th centuries, they built a fortified residential complex that resembled a castle rather than a palace.

The further history of the complex is a very eventful one: inheritance disputes, reconstructions, economic difficulties, expropriations, tragic deaths and even the end of a whole dynasty. One could fill whole books with it, but at this point only a few words about the last residents:

An engineer - and an artist at the same time - who, together with his wife and their children, breathed new life into the building complex. The aged lady lived in the building until 2005. Her name was Ines, she was 108 years old. The Castello dell'artista - the artist's castle - has been abandoned for more than 10 years and is regularly visited by raiders, but still creates an exciting picture of its last inhabitants.
