How to remove a chocolate stain:

1.) Check the care label to determine if your garment is washable. If your garment is dry clean only, do not attempt at home remedies or proceed with caution.
2.) Remove any excess chocolate bits with a fresh white towel.
3.) If the chocolate stain is on a washable garment, blot (do not rub) the chocolate with a clean white towel to absorb as much of the stain as possible.
4.) Before washing, mix up a solution of one cup of lukewarm water, 1/2 teaspoon of dish detergent (not laundry detergent, we like Dawn) and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar.
6.) Apply this solution to the chocolate stain site and allow to sit for 15 minutes.
7.) Wash as normal or instructed by the care label.
8.) If the chocolate stain did not come out, do not dry!
9.) Try the procedure above again and if this doesn’t work, apply 3% hydrogen peroxide (available from the first aid aisle of your local pharmacy) to the chocolate stain. Allow to sit for 15 minutes and then wash. This should remove the last traces of the chocolate stain.
10.) Only dry once the chocolate stain has been fully removed.
11.) Your chocolate stain has been removed!
