No matrices, no BAC-CAB identity, no comparing to wave equation. Just modelling electric and magnetic fields using cosines and then substituting into Maxwell's equations to derive the speed of light.

This is a great introduction to divergence and curl operators using basic mathematics accessible to A-Level students.

(A-Levels are a qualification in the UK (but not Scotland). The name A-Level is short for A-GCE, which stands for Advanced General Certificate of Education. It's the course 16-18 year olds can choose to study)
