This arrived in a colourful box with images of the ice cream, and the ice cream maker on the outside. Once opened the instruction manual is on the top with the main machine held in place top and bottom with bespoke polystyrene, and wrapped in plastic. The main mixing blade and with serving spoon are inserted into cut-outs in the main packaging. Everything well presented along with being well packed and protected.

Once I had unpacked everything I gave all the removable parts apart from the lid motor a good wash to remove any manufacturing taint. The manual is very easy to follow with good clear instructions, along with identification diagrams. The manual also contains some recipes at the end to get you started if you need them.

I decided to try this out with a strawberry and raspberry ice cream, so blended some fresh strawberries and raspberries, added some caster sugar, double cream, milk, and a small amount of lemon juice. I chilled the mix for about an hour before starting.

I added the mix, fitted the blade to the top lid and locked it in place aligning the arrow, and was ready to start. The controls are very straight forward so it is just a case of moving the dial to the ice cream mode, which is the last on the dial and depicted by an ice cream cone.

The machine bleeps several times when the mix is ready, and it came out fairly soft which in my experience of using similar machines before is normal, and of a consistency to be eaten straight away, or placed into a freezer. I have since tried this out making some lemon sorbet following the recipe in the manual and it turned out great.

The machine is very easy to clean after use with the transparent lid, mixing blade, and loading bowl removable for cleaning, and then slotting back in ready for the next use.

Overall in my opinion this is a very user friendly machine, as it does not have a multitude of different settings and modes to navigate. You just put the mix in, set the dial, and remove the ice cream when it bleeps. Everything is easy to clean after use, and the ice cream turns out great.
