A shepherd's primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of the flock. In this video I have visited a Shepherds flock in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Usually in winters these shepherds travels from Kinnaur to lower parts of Himachal Pradesh.
Due to cold they migrate every year and this place is known as Gun Chaat in our dialect. Gun means winters and chaat means house / deera literally means winter house .
