SEA LEVEL CHANGE | Coasts Revision Series #7 | ALevel Geography - Edexcel, AQA, OCR

In today's video we are going to look at how changes in sea level affect coast. Will be looking at contemporary sea level change, exploring what is happening in Kiribati, ask the question of what I see levels are rising, learn about thermal expansion and what the term environmental refugees means. We will also be exploring long-term sea level change, known as eustatic change, and isostatic change, looking at terms such as isostatic subsidence and isostatic recovery. We will also be exploring sea level change due to tectonic activity, past tectonic activity, landforms caused by changing sea level, creating emergent and submergent coast lines-as well as looking at the coastal landforms in both submergent and coastal land scapes.
