In this video, we continue our discussion on the IV characteristics of a MOSFET. We start with the transfer characteristics which clearly illustrate the sub-threshold region of the MOSFET. We qualitatively derive the drain current as a function of channel charge, drain voltage, and electron injection velocity. In the end, we show a plot illustrating drain-induced barrier lowering and sub-threshold swing and discuss the ON and OFF currents in the channel.
