Gynecomastia with Mastitis || Ultrasound || Doppler || Case 232

Clinical Features:
A 48 years old male patient came with
- Painful left breast lump
- H/o taking spironolactone

Ultrasound Features:
- Triangular hypoechoic areas are noted in bilateral retro-areolar regions.
- Developed mammary layers with prominent ducts are seen.
- Color Doppler shows increased vascularity within the left retro-areolar hypoechoic area.

Remember:
- Inflammatory change is not uncommon in gynecomastia.
- The use of color Doppler helps exclude inflammatory change.
